Wordless Wednesday-National turtle day

I recently heard that today, May 23 is national turtle day. Who knew right? I find it a little funny because on my drive home yesterday I saw this tiny little turtle walking in the middle of the road. And me being the bleeding heart for animals I pulled over, ran across the road & brought him/her home with me. Like I said bleeding heart.

In celebration of National Turtle Day Groupon is having a fundraising campaign called the American Tortoise Rescue. If you are interested in supporting this campaign click HERE to view all the details on Groupon.

Wordless Wednesday-A week in review picture style

I haven’t taken my camera out for a little while but I’ve been snapping photos with my phone like crazy. I love technology. So here is a little peek into our life over the last week.

I somehow managed to get a photo of not one but two butterflies
With 80 degree weather you have to pull out the pool
And of course we can’t forget weekly trips to the park!
And because it’s early morning and I like to torture people share my creations, I give you egg sandwich, healthy and completely filling.
Oh look more torture. Mushroom chicken, this was AMAZING! And again healthy.

I’ll love you forever, I’ll like you for always, As long as I’m living my baby you’ll be.
Gross yes but kind of neat to look at, as long as it’s not in my house
It may be a bit hard to see but there is water at the base of the plant
I love sunflowers, they’re wild yet vibrant and beautiful
And last but not least, last nights creation for dinner

There you have it, a review of our week through photos. I think my favorite part of this passed week has been watching the kids smiling faces while either at the park or playing in the water. What was your favorite part of last week?

Wordless Wednesday-Good morning

One of the things I enjoy most about getting up at the butt crack of dawn so I can take my son to the bus stop is being able to experience the sunrise with him. It’s always a gorgeous sight but getting to share it with my son makes it very special.

Wordless Wednesday-Mud puddles

It may be messy, it may stain clothes, carpet and the siding on your house, it may take three times to wash it out of your child’s hair, ears and nose BUT seeing the smile on your child’s face while playing in the mud takes all of your worries away and you just enjoy the moment.

Wordless Wednesday-Earth Day

My daughters preschool class spent Monday at the local park picking up trash in honor of Earth Day. It was so adorable seeing all these little kids so excited to pick up trash. I think we might have to make this a family tradition with the kids and I each year on Earth Day. And of course they all played, I mean what is a trip to the park without actually playing there right.

Wordless Wednesday-Lion face

My little mans facial expressions always make me laugh. He comes up with new one’s all the time and they are almost never the same.
He calls this his T-Rex face but I think it looks like a lion face
Lemon face?

Wordless Wednesday-Medieval Fair

A few weeks ago the kids and I took a little trip to the local Medieval Fair. I think I may have had more fun then the kids since there was so much to take photos of and I don’t let the kids go on carnival rides. I know I am such a mean mom but they scare me so no kids on carnival rides. I won’t bombard you with all of the photos I took but I did want to share these beautiful birds they had there.

Wordless Wednesday-Spring has arrived

While the kids were on spring break the other week I packed up a lunch, loaded them in the car and took them to the park for a picnic and some fun. Between all the flowers, the gorgeous 70 degree weather and smiling kids that ended up playing and not eating, it was a perfect day.

Wordless Wednesday-Just another cloudy day

The clouds seem to be such a permanent fixture these last few weeks. Some would be annoyed that it seems to dark but that’s not always the case. Today was absolutely gorgeous outside. A nice little breeze, in the low 70’s and what….oh yeah cloudy. But the clouds didn’t take away they added to the beautiful day.
Now as it’s getting a little darker and the storms rolling in I will keep thinking that even though that can bring on the rain they can also bring beauty to what would normally be a boring landscape.

Wordless Wednesday-I finally see it

Since the horrible haircuts boys haircuts I have been seeing a lot of similarities in them. I’ve never seen it before so at first it was quite shocking. Last week I walked in to check on the boys before I went to bed and as soon as I saw my youngest I immediately started to cry. It was as if I walked in to my oldests room five years ago and was looking at him sleeping. Yes I am an emotional sap, you should know this by now. It was just so much of a shock for me I kind of just stood there and stared. Then I ran and got my husband and the camera. I had to see if I was the only one who saw it or if the hubs noticed it also.

Tell me, what do you think? And can you guess who is who here?
