Wordless Wednesday-Cherry picking

When I was younger we used to go cherry picking every year. It was one of my moms favorite things to do while it was still cool and summer hadn’t quite hit yet. Back then I of course hated it, I was a teenager so that was typical but looking back I miss it. It was fun spending time with my family and picking cherries. Of course one of the best things is eating them making sure they are ripe enough to take home.
Since becoming a mom it has always been a dream of mine to go to a local farm and pick out our own fruits, vegetables and then cut down our own Christmas tree. Not sure when the tree will happen but last month right before we moved my Mom, Sister, niece, my kids and made last minute plans to go cherry picking.

My big boy had no problems finding cherries

Little man diving right in and filling his bucket while baby girl very cautiously picks a few in the background

Me: Whatcha eating?
Little man: Shewy (that’s cherry said with a huge cherry in his mouth)

So baby girl didn’t have as much fun as the rest of us once she discovered the bugs but thankfully we were able to distract her with the little play area they had.

I am so glad we were able to squeeze this in prior to our move. Now the kids will have this memory for a long time and can look back on it when we do this next year, and the year after that, and hopefully for many years to come.

Wordless Wednesday-A storms a comin

My husband and I sat outside today and watch a storm build up and then drop a micro burst in our backyard. I won’t deny it when he pointed out the rotating clouds almost right above our house it scared the crap out of me but at the same time it was really neat to watch.
Here’s a few pictures I snapped showing the progression of the storm.

Wordless Wednesday-Road trip

We did it. We finally made it to our new home. It only took two days for us to drive across country and the drive went better then I ever anticipated. The kids did wonderful and my husband drove the entire way which of course I had had no complaints.
My camera is non op so i used my phone (gotta love iPhones) to take pictures along the way. So here we go, my semi Wordless Wednesday.

 Crossing into Arizona
I missed the sign when we crossed into New Mexico so I shot this as soon as I saw the next sign
Hello Texas! Haven’t been back into Texas since we left in 2004
Woohooo, we made it to Oklahoma!

Wordless Wednesday-Trip to OU

Last time my husband and I took a trip out to Oklahoma our oldest was quite upset that he didn’t get to come with us. So we agreed that next time we went he could come with us since he would be out of school by then.
It was a great trip having our little man there with us. While out there we stopped by the stadium. I had seen it before but this time we had our realtor with us and she said we could take our son right on the field. One guess what my son said when we asked him.
YES!
In this first picture I know it’s very hard to see but if you look toward the middle left there’s my little man LOL As soon as his feet hit the field he ran across the entire thing about four times.

Wordless Wednesday-Did anyone else see this?

I walked out to go get the mail on Sunday and for some reason that I am not sure of, I looked up at the sun. My mouth dropped to the floor and I ran back inside to get my little point and shoot camera. Probably not a big deal to most but I just thought it looked amazing so I had to get some pictures of the sun. There was a complete ring around it. I’ve seen partial rings before but never a complete one and one so pronounced.

Wordless Wednesday-View of the Valley

This is a view of the valley I haven’t been able to take a picture of before. If you look up pictures of my area it’s typically a shot over looking the entire valley over by the aqua duct. While it is a nice view it’s popular so I was glad to capture a different perspective.

Wordless Wednesday-My first born

I can’t get over how much my “little” man has grown. I could swear that he was just born and in reality it was seven years ago. How has that time flown by so incredibly fast?

He is not the biggest camera fan which means getting pictures of him are few and far between so I usually try to sneak in a few when he isn’t paying attention. I love these shots of him. He is concentrating so hard on what he is doing and had no clue I was taking pictures of him.

Wordless Wednesday

I just realized a little bit ago that today is Wednesday. Pretty sad considering it’s eight o’clock at night now. It has been a long day though, many many hours spent at the Orthodontist for my son, my youngest is sick and I’ve had a migraine all day. But I just can’t miss doing a Wordless Wednesday post.

Monday we celebrated Passover at my Aunt and Uncles house. This is the first holiday we have been together at since my Grandfather passed. It was definitely different with out him there but I am very thankful we got to spend that time with my family since it will be more difficult after the move.

And I am not sure why but every time I look at this picture I think of my Grandpa

There you have it, a very late but still within the time limits Wordless Wednesday post.

Wordless Wednesday

My daughter has been interested in dance for quite some time now. We took her for a class last year just to see how she would do. She spent the entire time crying or just standing there with a pouty face. Of course after the class was over she was all smiles and couldn’t stop talking about how much fun she had. Makes me laugh every time I think about it. Fast forward to last month. My sister asked if she wanted to try dance again and since her daughter also goes to dance she offered to take her with them. I figured since it’s been a year it couldn’t hurt to try. And guess what, she did great! She loved every second of it. So we signed her up.

I made the girls stop for a picture before we went in because they looked so cute together.

And I just had to include my son in here. He is my little mini photographer in training.
